The Student Health Center & Pharmacy offers all of your needs for health and wellness at the University of Alabama and more. They also have services such as a dietitian who you can see for $20 per session, substance abuse services, and women’s health!
Project Health is Gamma’s partner peer education group out of the Student Health Center. Their website has tons of great worksheets for things such as budgets, studying, cleaning, and more. They also have pre-made bulletin boards for residence halls!
The Center for Academic Success is a great place to start going early in your college career! They offer tutoring services, time management workshops, and great study space. CAS is dedicated to making sure you are academically successful during your time at UA. Make sure to stop by!
The Counseling Center is a great resource at UA! If you ever need to talk, you can see one of their counselors. Each student gets a free consultation session, and then 15 sessions each year for $15 each.
The Women and Gender Resource Center has great resources available for students and staff at UA. Students and faculty/staff can increase their knowledge of resources available to victims of sexual assault, domestic/dating violence and stalking in a Harbor training session. Additionally, the WGRC offers counseling for those who have been victims of sexual assault, relationship violence, sexual abuse, and other unhealthy relationships.
Exercise is a great way to relieve stress and to get healthy! The Rec is a fully equipped gym that offers group classes, such as yoga or Zumba, personal training, and a rock climbing wall! You can also rent a bike at the Rec through Outdoor Recreation for only $10 a month!
